FUTURE SELF GOAL SETTING & REFLECTION POSTCARD is a lesson where students write a postcard to their future self, whether it be a month, a year, or many years into the future. It can be combined with the app Aging Booth, where students take a picture of themselves and see what they might look like in their senior years.
MONEY BUDDIES is a classroom activity where students hold partner conversations with peers to dig into personal values, and money management and decision-making strategies. Talking about money with peers can help students process emotions and take positive action.
MONEY PERSONALITIES QUIZ is designed to help students learn how their money personality might impact their lives. From the complicator, to the contemplator, to the paper chaser and the money monk, when we know what our relationship to money is, we can become more aware of our actions when it comes to spending and saving.
PAYCHECKS AND TAXES LESSON takes students through a kinesthetic activity about the different taxes they are required to pay. Students use their percentage and decimal skills to calculate payroll deductions from their gross pay. Key terms, assessments, and follow-up questions are included.
